Jesus had no problem speaking truth to power. After all, He was and is the King of all Kings. Jesus made it clear that the very reason He was born a King was to testify to the Truth. Pilate’s response was notable:
“’What is truth?' Pilate asked. With this, he said, 'I find no basis for a charge against him.'” (V38) Pilate perceived no political or cultural threat to his throne; he was mistaken. One day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.
If Jesus is not Lord of all, He cannot be Lord at all; all or nothing. His Lordship supersedes all of the kingdoms of this world. Our absolute allegiance must be to King Jesus. Never apologize for your faith. Engage and declare your faith in the public square. - Pastor Jimmy
