The return to Jerusalem, rebuilding the fortified wall around the city, and finding the Word of God in the rubble and ruins of a once-great city led to one of the greatest revivals recorded in Scripture. It began with Reformation, a return to God’s Word.
As Ezra the priest boldly read the Word of God to the people for over 6 hours at a time, they were convinced and convicted by the Holy Spirit that they had turned away from God. The people repented with great mourning and weeping. Reformation led to Repentance, which led to Revival!
My prayer on Day 1 of our church-wide fast is, “Do it again, Lord! Do it again!” You don’t have to fast in order to pray and cry out for reformation and revival! Simply, “Bring out the book!” and lift your voice to God! Why not here? Why not now? “Do it again, Lord, Do it again!” - Pastor Jimmy
