On the cross, Jesus said, “Tetelestai!” It means “It is finished.” Jesus completed His assignment and fulfilled over 300 prophecies. I have met “Believers” who think since Jesus finished His work, then our work is finished too. This is a perilous line of thinking.
You and I also have been given assignments to execute and finish. While we live out of the finished work of Christ, in terms of salvation and grace, there is much work to be done and it’s our privilege and joy to co-labor and co-operate with Him in delivering the Gospel and advancing His kingdom to a broken world.
Today, as you engage your sphere of influence, whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, knowing you are blessed by God to work well, work hard, and work smart. “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” You are the answer to Jesus’ prayer.
