Warning: “You might feel some pressure.” - Every Doctor Everywhere
When Jesus poured his heart out in prayer, the main theme was unity in the faith. That all who would follow him would be one just as he and the Father are one. How far we have fallen from Jesus’ own desire for his church.
Of the world religions, Christianity is the most fragmented and divided of all. Our testimony to the world is that we can’t get along and have abandoned God’s heart for unity, love, and peace.
Jesus said it was by our unity that the world would believe. Is it any wonder that people look at our churches and choose not to engage?
Jesus put it this way in John 13:34-35 (NKJV) 34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
What will you do? What part will you play? The issue is layered and complex, but the answer is simple. We are to love like Jesus loved; radical, grace-laced, extravagant, extreme, and unconditional. Only then will the world believe our message. - Pastor Jimmy
