It’s Monday. There was a time when I dreaded Mondays. It marked the end of the weekend and the beginning of the workweek. However, when I learned that work was honorable and that I could glorify God through my work, it transformed work into an act of worship and it became a holy experience.
I appreciate these insightful words from Oscar Romero, “How beautiful will be the day when all the baptized understand that their work, their job, is a priestly work, that just as I celebrate Mass at this altar, so each carpenter celebrates Mass at his workbench.”
