The gravity of this moment cannot be trivialized. The collision of heaven coming to earth and the culmination of "It is finished!" resulted in a literal seismic tectonic shift. The earth moved. The temple curtain separating God and man was destroyed in a second. Jesus was and is the way.
It was such a poignant moment that when the centurion guarding Jesus experienced it, he exclaimed, "Surely this was the Son of God!" How can we recover our sense of wonder and amazement and share the Gospel with the same excitement, reverence, and awe? - Pastor Jimmy
