The fear of the Lord as a rule of life has been mostly left behind in a world where it's all about me. I'm not opposed to self-care, self-evaluation, or self-improvement. However, when preserving the self is valued over the biblical mandate to die to self, we have flipped the gospel upside down.
The fear of the Lord releases blessing. It should be our desire to please God by enjoying and delighting in His commandments. It's hard to focus on God when we are primarily focused on ourselves. Look for opportunities to do what pleases God today. - Pastor Jimmy
