Yesterday, I had the honor of sitting at the bedside in a hospice room of a 78 year old Saint. All meds and treatment have been suspended. He is at the threshold of the next chapter of his life. He is a lover of Jesus and a self-described, “Prayer Warrior.” He is ready to graduate.
I was not sad, at least in the typical sense. I have been teaching/preaching a series on heaven titled, Heaven in the Real World: Living Life with Heaven in View.
It has shifted my perspective and has eradicated any fear or trepidation about dying.
God is using my study of Heaven to fuel my passion to teach, preach, and personally share the Gospel with passion, conviction and vigor.
