I stood at the bedside of a Saint who has run his race and is at the finish line of this chapter of his life. All life-supporting devices were off and the room was quiet, peaceful, and holy. I recognized that I was standing in a sacred and holy space. I was not sad, because I had begun to understand what this precious Saint was about to see and experience.
I spoke to him and thanked him for his life, his service, and the legacy of his family that loves Jesus deeply. If you have ever stood on holy ground, you understand what I am describing. You get a sense that heaven has indeed invaded earth and God’s glory is just beyond what you can see with your natural sight.

Living with heaven in view produces joy inexpressible as you fully grasp that this life is just the staging area for the real and beautiful life to come.
