It would be easy to move to a cabin in the woods and escape from the madness of our world that has gone off the rails. Sometimes you just want to check out, however, we cannot opt for the easy path. As Christians in America, we’ve done easy. It’s time to do difficult.
God responds to Solomon’s prayers, while dedicating the Temple, by giving him a clear directive on how to course correct when calamities befall a nation: Humble yourselves, pray, seek God, and turn from wickedness. Simple, but not easy. We’ve done easy, let’s do difficult.
We must not wait for others to suit up and show up to school board meetings, city council meetings, the voting booth, etc. Waiting is too easy, let’s do difficult. Where is God directing you to engage in your cultural context? Stop doing easy, let’s do difficult for His glory. - Pastor Jimmy
