The missionary is drawing from Old Testament passages that speak of what awaits those who have been reconciled to God. It’s beyond what eyes have seen, ears have heard, and what one could possibly dream: heaven for eternity.
It’s as if Paul is saying, “You think this is something; just wait. You wouldn’t believe it if I told you what God has prepared for you!” In the next verse, Paul flips the script, “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.” In other words, eternity is written into the hearts of humankind.
As you engage in the rhythm of a new day, think about your destiny in God: heaven, eternity with Him, reuniting with those who have gone before you in Christ, a new heaven, and a new earth, He will make all things new. Have an amazing day on purpose. - Pastor Jimmy
